RESHAPING THE HEART OF NORTHCOTE
Eke Panuku, Auckland Council’s urban regeneration agency, is redeveloping the town centre to create a more thriving centre for Northcote.
The vision is to deliver a lively and welcoming heart where community, culture and business thrives, and everyone’s needs are met.
To achieve this, many projects are coming together to reshape Northcote over the next 10 years or so.
The redevelopment of the town centre is central to this. There will be new shops, eateries, offices, apartments, laneways, a town square, and a larger supermarket. Local amenities will also be improved to support the growing Northcote community.
